Two games, three minutes of rest
Fast Break Wild Dogs played two consecutive games on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The first game, against Tune Squad, started at 12:40 p.m. The second game, against Van Ness, started at 1:30 p.m. Each game was played as two 20-minute halves, and both full-game videos are preserved below as part of this one game-day story.
When the first game ended, the Wild Dogs had only three minutes to rest before returning to the court for the second game.
Both games were labeled 11U, short for “11 and under.” The exact age-eligibility cutoff is set by the league or event.
Coach Green described the second game as physical and said the lack of rest made it especially tough on the team—and on him as their coach. Even after that demanding turnaround, he praised the players for putting in the work and thanked the parents who supported them through the day.
“You guys and the kids were awesome!”
— Coach Green
Learning across both games
In the first game against Tune Squad, the recording captures Coach Green directing the players to fall back on defense midway through play. The second game against Van Ness shows the team working through another pair of 20-minute halves after the quick turnaround.
Coach Green’s takeaway looked beyond a single result. He expects that playing more games and gaining experience together will help the group work through challenges like limited rest between games. Families and players can revisit both recordings to watch the team’s spacing, movement, communication, defensive response, and decisions from one possession to the next.
